Season 1 Episode 4
Welcome back for our next series of friendsfavz Web Show. On this episode we will meet Jackie from The Bistro at the Hollywood Schoolhouse in Woodinville Wa.
I came upon this charming little Bistro when I was out wine tasting and needed a place to stop for some nourishment. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety on their menu, but most of all I fell in love with the atmosphere and their friendly staff. I have since brought several different groups of girlfriends to have lunch while out wine tasting, as The Bistro is right in the heart of the Woodinville Wine Country.
The Bistro was the host site to our second live filming with our studio audience and I must say it was a smashing good time. We sampled some of the foods from The Bistro, had wine tastings from Market Vineyards and visited with Cheryl and Cindy from HotFlash Designs.
To top of the evening we had drawings for gifts from each presenter as well as gifts given by The Refinery Salon and Stephanie Richter’s Mary Kay Business. We had many happy ladies who had their name drawn for a gift basket, a gift card to The Bistro, an original art piece by HotFlash Designs and so many more fun gifts.
I hope you will share this with your girlfriends as more likes on Facebook, twitter, and You Tube are always appreciated and creates a lot of excitement.
Look forward to sharing Market Vineyards with you on our next episode of friendsfavz Web Show!
Come feel beautiful with us here at friendsfavz! Karen
What is HOTflash designs all about? It is the vision of two artists, Cheryl King and Cindy Duvall, who have collaborated to create a unique union of painting and fused glass art.
So excited for Cheryl and Cindy to be presenting their art at the filming of friendsfavz Web Show on Thursday November 20th! We are having a girls night out and invite all ladies to come and join us to be a part of the studio audience. There is no cost to attend and we will be tasting some delectable treats by The Bistro at Hollywood Schoolhouse and wine tasting with Market Vineyards. The Refinery Salon will be popping in to share some tips from “ask the expert” and Jenn will be glitzing it up with her bag of tips and tricks.
I hope you can join us and if you RSVP at the Facebook event page your name will go into a drawing for a gift giveaway. You must be present to win.
See you at the filming!
Holidays are a great time to get family together. I want you to meet our extended family. Janell and I are number two and three of six girls and our two youngest sisters are identical twins! If you are wondering how my Dad survived, well we will just say he is very quite. It is hard to get a word in edgewise with six daughters! Today we had five of our siblings with kids and grandkids along with our Mom and Dad at the lake!
My adorable 10 year old niece Belli, brought this tasty creation with her to our Easter celebration. They are multi-colored Easter Egg cakes! I found a recipe for the cupcakes online at http://www.cupcakeproject.com/2011/04/easter-cupcakes-baked-in-real-egg.html
They were a tasty creative treat!
I grabbed my Dad and Mom to join me this week in trying One New Thing. My Dad just celebrated his 75th Birthday and I took he and my mom to lunch at a restaurant that was new to them. Last month we ventured to a new Thai restaurant for us in Mill Creek and so I thought we would try another Thai restaurant in downtown Bothell called Pen Thai. The restaurant was buzzing with activity at lunchtime but they were able to seat us right away and tended to use promptly. We ordered several dishes to split and my Mom and Dad loved the entire experience. The mongolian beef came out on a sizzling plate and the sauce with the three stars was oh so very tasty. My favorite was the pork fried rice and the pad thai was another favorite of my moms.
My Dad gave all of us girls, the four sisters that live in the Seattle area, a wonderful gift for Christmas. He and my mom are taking one of us out each month for a special lunch or dinner. As I get older I cherish the time with my parents more and more. I always love being the only sibling with them and feeling like the favorite child for an hour while we have a meal together. I have five sisters so there is always a little competition to be the favorite child. I must say that my mom and dad are always good at making us all feel special. They are wonderful parents and I love being able to spend time with them.
Let me know if you have a favorite restaurant around the Seattle area and maybe we will pick your favorite restaurant to try for our parent daughter time together. -Karen
